Bio: Blake Cash: Thank you for joining me on this journey. I began writing around the age of fourteen. I was following in the footsteps of my famous cousin Johnny Cash. After winning a KSON Radio talent show our band The Family Tree received 3rd place in 1973. One of the awards was being a warm up band for a famous artist. We never imagined it would actually be Johnny Cash at the Community Course in San Diego California. After playing for years at various places in Southern California I teamed up with Pam Breen whose brother was Ken Ramsey and wrote song Green Back Dollar. Through her connections we soon were playing at Doug Weston's Troubadour in Hollywood for Capital Records. Joe Walsh would back us on slide guitar. We were able to meet many celebrities and benefit from their creative talents. One close friend was Lorne Blackwell writer of "Friends in Low Places" made famous by Garth Brooks. He and I teamed up in 2012 to write songs for a comeback album. I recorded 10 songs, but Garth never did the comeback tour. Today, I personally am a Christian songwriter who writes gospel songs of praise to Jehovah God.  I also wrote many protest songs during the Vietnam war. However, I am inspired to write about any social issue facing mankind. Awareness about those who are downtrodden and forgotten are special topics I find appealing.  I hope you enjoy my type of storytelling songs.
